The Company

Process Solutions Incorporated was formed in 1997 after purchasing the intellectual property and assets of Freundorfer Incorporated from International Paper Company.  Its objective was to produce photoengraving materials on a large scale to supply that market throughout the world.

In February of 1997 the company set up manufacturing operations in Ludlow Massachusetts and after six months of operation the company started a research lab within its operation to formulate chemistry for the lithographic printing industry.  With its founders having many years of experience in the lithographic industry, Process Solutions Inc., was able to develop and introduce a range of developers, finishers and plate cleaners which would compete with the major plate manufacturers and other suppliers to the Graphic Arts marketplace.  The developer and finisher products were unique, as they were able to process many different manufacturer’s plates through the same processor.

Within 3 years, the company outgrew the six thousand square foot facility in Ludlow and moved to a twenty-five thousand square foot building in Holyoke Mass.  This allowed Process Solutions to increase its R&D lab and staff as well as begin computerizing and enlarging its mixing capacity.  With thirty-five lithographic products being sold each month along with seven photoengraving products, speed of delivery as well as quality was becoming the order of the day.

Process Solutions became ISO 9001 registered in 2000, the scope covering both R&D and Manufacturing units.   Quality products were the cornerstone of the business as they grew the private label and toll manufacturing customer base.  At the end of 2002 the company had doubled its volume and expansion was again necessary.

In 2003 the company purchased a thirty-five thousand square foot building in East Longmeadow Mass.  This facility had belonged to American Saw (Lenox-American Saw & Manufacturing) and was used as a manufacturing site for their coolants and lubricants.   The acquisition of this building and its equipment increased the company’s annual manufacturing capacity to five million gallons.
